As in Sanskrit, vowels in Vunizh include initial and medial forms. The medial form is placed above the consonant that precedes it. "Y" and "R" have separate forms as a vowel and consonant. Vowel "R" is found only in a medial form as part of dipthongs (er, ar, or, etc.). There is no distinction between capital and lower case.
